Travel terms
Last updated: 12 April 2026
1. Booking and payment
A booking is binding once you have received our written confirmation. On booking, a deposit of 20% of the total price is due, unless otherwise agreed. The remaining balance is due no later than 45 days before departure.
For bookings made less than 45 days before departure, the full amount is due on booking. Payment is by invoice to the company.
2. What is included in the price
Unless otherwise specified in the offer, the trade fair travel package includes:
- Return flights from the agreed Norwegian airport
- Hotel accommodation with breakfast
- Fair admission
- Transport between airport, hotel and fair
- A Norwegian-speaking guide
Any additional services such as extended stays, single rooms or special arrangements are invoiced separately and detailed in the offer.
3. Cancellation
The following cancellation fees apply, counted from the number of days before departure:
- More than 60 days before departure: loss of deposit (20% of the total trip price)
- 30–60 days before departure: 50% of the total trip price
- 15–29 days before departure: 75% of the total trip price
- Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the total trip price
We recommend taking out cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
4. Changes to the booking
Changes to traveller names, room allocation or other details must be notified in writing. We do our best to accommodate change requests but reserve the right to pass on any additional costs from suppliers.
Name changes on flight tickets are often not possible and may require a new ticket. The cost is borne by the booker.
5. Travel insurance
It is each traveller's own responsibility to arrange adequate travel insurance covering trip, illness, accident and baggage. We also recommend cancellation insurance.
Messereiser does not provide travel insurance as part of the package but can refer you to insurance providers on request.
6. Passport and visa
The traveller is responsible for holding a valid passport and any required visa for the destination. Passports must typically be valid for at least 6 months after homecoming.
We provide general guidance on visa requirements, but it is the traveller's own responsibility to ensure all documents are in order before departure. Costs caused by missing documents or visa refusals are not covered by us.
7. Liability
Messereiser acts as an intermediary between the customer and suppliers (airlines, hotels, transport companies, etc.). We are responsible for ensuring that the services we have undertaken to deliver are performed in accordance with the agreement.
We are not liable for circumstances due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics or other unforeseen events outside our control.
Our liability is limited to the total trip price, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
8. Complaints
Any deficiencies or complaints should be reported to the travel guide or our contact person as soon as possible during the trip, so that we have the opportunity to put things right.
Written complaints must be sent to post@messereiser.no within 30 days of homecoming. Complaints are typically handled within 30 days.
If we cannot reach agreement, the matter may be brought before the Norwegian Travel Complaints Board (Pakkereisenemnda) or other relevant complaint bodies.
9. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall first be sought resolved amicably, and failing that, before the Norwegian courts with Drammen District Court as venue.
11. Language and interpretation
This is an English-language version of our Norwegian travel terms. The Norwegian original prevails in the event of any conflict.
