Frequently asked questions
Every three years in Cologne. The 2028 edition follows the established triennial cadence.
Yes — although contractors are the primary audience, architects specifying coatings and façade systems find FAF highly valuable.
Very much so — low-VOC, bio-based, recyclable and circular-economy coatings are all major tracks. Nordic specifications are increasingly stringent and FAF tracks closely with those trends.
European Coatings Show focuses on coatings R&D and chemistry. FAF focuses on application, contracting and finishing trades. They serve different audiences in the same value chain.
Two days covers it well for most professionals. Larger contractors and decision-makers add a third day for in-depth supplier conversations.
